Optimizing Classroom Practices: Enhancing Materials for Maximum Impact

This workshop continues the cooperation initiated in 2023, following Colombia’s request for support through the Defence Education Enhancement Programme (DEEP). As part of this partnership, BILC provides expertise in English language training and assessment to support interoperability among NATO and partner nations.

The workshop, held in Colombia, is adapted from BILC’s “Teaching Speaking and Writing in Military Contexts” English Teaching Faculty Development Workshop. While maintaining its core focus on speaking and writing, the content was customized based on a detailed needs analysis of Colombian instructors and their English course syllabus. This ensured that the training aligns with local teaching realities.

Participants explore practical strategies for using coursebooks effectively and making the most of available classroom resources. The workshop is tailored to their professional context, aiming to address specific instructional challenges and enhance overall language teaching effectiveness.
